Brought in my father's 1978 Seiko 5 that hadn't run in years. Ahmad assessed it carefully, explained what was needed, and came back with a realistic timeline. Picked it up three weeks later running well. The written note they include was a nice touch — I kept it with the watch.

The crystal on my Longines had developed a crack, and the case was showing obvious signs of being bounced around for a decade. The refinishing work is excellent — they've preserved the original brushed finish on the lugs, which I'd seen other places sand away entirely. Very happy with the result.

Good, careful work on a vintage ladies' Tissot — the movement is now running smoothly. The appointment system works well; I knew exactly when to come in. The turnaround was slightly longer than quoted (about four weeks instead of three) but they kept me informed throughout, which I appreciated.

Took in a 1963 Omega Constellation for a full restoration. The documentation they produced — photographs from every stage, a written record of every component addressed — is something I genuinely didn't expect. It arrived in a folder alongside the watch. This is how it should be done.

I'd been looking for someone reliable to service my Rolex. A friend recommended Klockwerk — and I'm glad they did. They explained exactly what they found, quoted the additional part before ordering it, and the timing readings they provided after service showed a real improvement. Very professional throughout.

The case refinishing on my Hamilton Khaki Field came out well. They matched the original satin finish closely, and the engraving on the back wasn't touched. Pricing was what they'd quoted upfront, which is refreshing. Slight deduction only because the crystal I chose wasn't in stock initially and caused a small delay — but they sourced it within the week.

Restoration Projects in Detail

Case Study 01

1968 Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox — Full Vintage Restoration

Challenge

A Memovox arrived with a non-functional alarm complication, extensive case wear, a hairline crack in the acrylic crystal, and a movement that hadn't been serviced in at least fifteen years. The original crown was also missing, replaced with an incorrect part.

Approach

Full movement disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning. The alarm hammer pivot was worn and required hand-reconditioning. A period-correct crown was sourced through a horological supplier in Switzerland. The case was refinished by hand and an acrylic crystal fabricated in-house to match the original dome profile.

Result

Alarm complication restored to function. Movement timing within ±8 seconds per day across five positions. Case returned to original brushed and polished finish. Documentation delivered alongside the watch. Project completed in nine weeks.

"I'd been told by two other shops it wasn't worth restoring. Klockwerk disagreed, and I'm glad they did."

— Owner, KL collector

Case Study 02

1954 Omega Constellation — Movement Service & Crystal Replacement

Challenge

A family heirloom Constellation, last serviced in the 1990s, was running approximately 40 seconds fast per day and stopping intermittently. The original Plexiglas crystal was deeply scratched and clouding at the edges.

Approach

Bench service on the Cal. 354 movement: full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, mainspring replacement, and escapement adjustment. The owner was informed before the mainspring was ordered. A domed acrylic crystal matching the original period specification was sourced and fitted.

Result

Movement timing improved to ±5 seconds per day across multiple positions. Crystal clear and matching original profile. Original condition note and timing readings delivered. The engraved caseback was not touched.

"My father wore this watch every day for thirty years. Having it running again properly means a great deal."

— Yusof K., Kuala Lumpur

Case Study 03

Modern Rolex Submariner — Refinishing After Diving Use

Challenge

A Submariner used regularly for sea diving showed heavy surface scratching on the case and bracelet. The owner wanted the finish restored without the over-polished appearance common with less careful refinishing work.

Approach

Full case and bracelet disassembly. Brushed surfaces addressed using matched compounds to recreate the original satin finish. Polished surfaces treated separately. Gaskets replaced and water resistance tested to 100m after reassembly.

Result

Case and bracelet returned to a finish consistent with a well-maintained piece — not over-worked or plastically bright. Water resistance verified. Turnaround eight working days.

"They understood the difference between restoring and over-restoring. The watch looks cared-for, not like it just left the showroom in 2005."

— Christine K., Cheras
